To me it depends on what sport it is. Swimmers deserve it because there sport uses there whole body unlike hunters who only use there arms and brains.

I doubt most swimmers make that kind of money, but interesting point.

    I think they get overpaid

Nobody can really get overpaid they earn the moneh for doing what they love

I disagree. I’m not suggesting athletes don’t work hard in their jobs, but they’re making millions of dollars (plus endorsements) to play those games. Is the amount of time they play worth that much money?

I think really good athletes raise the price to show people that they are so good that they get paid millions to play an hour -2 hour long game. Plus there doing what they love and getting paid millions for that, I mean like Mr.Mepham is doing what he (hopefully ) loves but he doesn’t get paid millions, so why should they? I know it’s for entertainment but that’s a bit much to pay almost half the athletes in the world a million dollars. Why not just give them diamonds?

I agree, Haily. What it does too is drive up the price to attend these events as a fan. A family of four would spend close to, if not more than, a thousand dollars to see that entertainment. Sad.
