Our Fort McMurray Fire Fund has started off with a bang! At yesterday’s track meet, we had a table set up (conveniently located next to the concessions stand) for people to donate spare change. Over the course of the day, coins and bills rolled in and by the day’s end, we had accumulated $204! That’s 20% of our goal already reached! Day-to-day collection will continue over the next week and a half. If you’d like to pass the word around at your workplace and send in a donation, we’ll happily accept.
As you may have seen on Class Story, students built bridges from Popsicle sticks and hot glue. On Wednesday, they were tested. Most were able to withstand a fair degree of force applied to them but Harley, Bryson and Colin designed the strongest bridge as it showed no signs of stress or buckling under the maximum weight. Way to go team!
