I think it is harder to be a firefighter.

Firefighter because you have to go in a burning buildings and you would have to be very strong to be able to carry people out of the burning buildings.

Hannah does make a good point but, police officers have to deal with all the terrorist and now there are a lot of illegal things these days so they have to remember all of them. Plus I’m pretty sure its easier to get a gun then is was in the 80’s so that means more shootings and that means more police officers are needed. Though Hannah does make a very good point I think police officers have a little bit of a harder job than firefighters.

Well explained comment, Haily! I think a lot of it has to do with how you interpret the question. Both have elements of danger, but policing has unknown dangers all the time. At least, when responding to a fire, a firefighter has time to prepare. Police officers have to make quick judgment calls in the heat of the moment. Yet, the danger of a raging fire can be equally life-threatening to a firefighter. If I had to choose one, I’d agree that it’s policing but both jobs call for some very gutsy, courageous people.

I think both of them have an equal amount of danger when you think about it. Firefighters have to go into the fire with the equipment on or else they could die, Polices have to take care of people who may be very dangerous. When it comes to an accident both Polices and Firefighters have to go to help.
