Homework for Thursday November 24th


  • Progress Reports envelope: Rebeka, Brayden
  • “Number the Stars” due back by Dec. 1st
  • Math test returned today.


  • Word Study:  List 6 pretest on Fri.; #2, 4 + sentences due Fri.
  • Writing:  Two organizers for your magazine memoirs due Tues.
  • Math:  corrected test due Fri.
  • Social Studies:  European Union map due Fri.
  • PHE:  Mon. & Wed. 

Question of the Day: If you follow the news, you may have learned about a tragic school bus crash in Tennessee earlier this week.  Do you think we should have seat belts on school buses, or do you feel safe without them?

    I think that bus drivers should have a test to se if they are careful enough to have a bus without seat belts but, if that couldn’t happen then I would say were good without especially sence we have bus patrols.

    Wow! Hearing about that makes me worried. But, yes I do think seat belts would be a good idea to add to a bus, to avoid things like this.

      I don’t think you need to worry, Priya. When you consider how many buses are on the road at any given time, an accident here or there is exactly that, an accident. However, I think it’s still safe to be strapped in. Truck drivers wear seat belts, even though they’re high up and in a large vehicle. The bus drivers wear one, why not the students too then?
