Weekly Digest

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Well, January flew by, didn’t it?  February promises to be busy with lots of school activities on the go.  If you missed it, the February newsletter was posted on Wednesday.

On Thursday afternoon, we’re off to the Harrow OPP detachment as part of the VIP Program.  Thanks to Constable MacKinnon for providing the cost of transportation and for providing lunch.  We’ll only be gone from the school for about two hours and in light of space, we aren’t in need of chaperones for this excursion (however, if your child ends up in jail, I’ll send you a pic).

Today, students were busy putting together a self-created candy car design, as both a part of art and media literacy.  As they finish, I’ll share photos on Class Story.  Shortly afterwards, your child will then design an advertisement for their self created product.  Those will be posted here on the blog at a future date.

Monday is A1 Chinese fundraiser night for the grade eights.  A portion of all cash sales will go toward grade eight graduation.  Dine-in is preferred but take is available too.  Take a night off on the kitchen and enjoy some Chinese while helping the grade eights with graduation.

Enjoy your weekend.
