One week to go before March Break! We’re busily trying to wrap up a number of activities currently on the go. We’ve finished our novel, “The Lion, the Witch & the Wardrobe”, and small groups are constructing a board game based on the story. In math, we’re close to wrapping up our probability unit, and in science, our space unit will draw to a close with a test next week.
Speaking of math, the students have a short, “family” activity to do with you this weekend. They’ve been given a sheet with instructions on conducting a coin spinning activity. I’m asking that each family member do the experiment so we have varying degrees of data (plus it gives you a chance to do something school-related together). If there are fewer than six members in the household, family members can do the activity more than once to fill the sheet. Thank you in advance for your support with this. Extra copies of the page are available on the homework post.
On Monday, fundraising forms and catalogs went home for the annual Vesey’s bulb fundraiser. The money generated from this goes toward the band trip to Wonderland in the spring, plus it helps with supporting the school’s music program.
In case you missed it, the March Newsletter has been posted here. Enjoy the weekend!
